Royal United Hospital Bath - 2024

I'm the Artist in Residence at the Royal United Hospital Bath delivering weekly 'pARTicipate' workshops for patients. This work is overseen by Art at the Heart, the highly regarded arts programme at the RUH.

August 2023 - Art at the Heart installed 7 new pieces of artwork on the Children's Ward with colourful models created by patients in our workshops. Detailed scenes with the themes of Under the Sea, Enchanted Forest, Jungle, Space and Dinosaurs brighten up the Children's Ward corridor.

I've also designed a variety of projects as art bags with materials and accompanying videos with virtual workshops for patients to enjoy. This project started during the pandemic and has continued into 2024 and is still proving to be very popular.

Bristol Chidren's Hospital 2023-24

I've been running regular creative session at Bristol Children's Hospital since 2016. Workshops take place the Play Centre, the Hospital Schoolroom and on the Adolescent Ward. I've overseen the making and installation of work for the Gallery in the Hospital foyer.
I've also provided videos and art packs as part of the Hospital's virtual arts programme funded by the Grand Appeal Charity.

Creative Design & Crafts

I'm a lead designer for Staedtler UK, primarily with FIMO modelling materials on ideas, new products and inspirational project ideas. Recent work includes a series of successful workshops for staff events, the Handmade Festival and presentations for The Craft Store / Hochanda TV channel.

I design for the Baker Ross creative crafts catalogue and Creative Station online. Projects include educational ideas for children, teachers and adults.

Other ongoing work is for Creative Steps magazine, Future publishing, Pearson, Immediate Media.

Arts in Health

Creativity and wellbeing is at the core of my work. Over the years I've developed an approach enabling participants to explore new techniques and materials in a supportve and relaxed space. In addition to the RUH and Bristol Children's Hospital I've worked with patients at Southamton Hospital Piam Brown Ward (Wessex Regional Children's Cancer Centre), the Teenage Cancer Trust  and the Carer's Trust to engage children and teenagers in creative activities.
I'm as an associate artist for GOSH Arts the arts programme at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
